Optimization of thermal processes

Green Body Analysis

To achieve the aspired product quality by the heat treatment, green bodies must feature adequate properties, too.

Drying

Subsequent to the forming, drying is usually necessary, before the shaped bodies can be debindered in the furnace.

Debinding

The debinding of green bodies with the ThermoOptical measurement systems (TOM) as well as with the thermal analysis method is measured in situ at HTL and subsequently optimized

Sintering

The sintering of green bodies is measured in situ at HTL with highest reproducibility using ThermoOptical measurement systems (TOM) in order to be optimized in the next step.

Melt Infiltration

As an alternative to sintering, the melt infiltration method can be used to create a dense component from a porous molding body.
